SAP BW Consultant

As an experienced SAP BW Support Team Member with 5+ years of experience, you will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and enhancing SAP BW 7.4 or similar systems. Your role includes identifying issues from Level 1 Help Desk tickets and using Service Now or a similar ticketing system. You will play a key role in enhancing the support process by creating Knowledge Base Articles for Level 1 support staff to improve ticket resolution rates. Your duties will involve: - Acting as the primary contact for the BW application team for all support-related issues. - Scheduling and monitoring data activities, including creating/enhancing process chains. - Creating/enhancing OLAP cubes and modifying reports for BeX Analyzer and Analysis for OLAP or Office. - Enhancing documentation of the BW landscape and performing data reconciliation between SAP source systems and BW. - Developing transformations, including BW ABAP related code, and demonstrating in-depth knowledge of various BW concepts. - Providing input and executing automation of manual processes. Other requirements for this role include: - Being available during M-F, 8-5 pm US Central Time or similar schedule, with rare 24x7 support for P1 issues. - Proficiency in English communication. - Ability to work independently, take ownership of support queue items, and make quick and accurate decisions for resolution. - Preferably based in the US or Near Shore to meet Time Zone requirements. - Detailed knowledge of Standard BW extractors and familiarity with COPA documents and processes are advantageous. - Experience with Business Objects, SAP Data Services, SSIS, or similar tools is a plus.
