Sap Basis Consultant

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist with

  Installations, Upgrades, and Conversions of SAP Systems

  , including SAP S/4HANA, on both on-premise servers and in

  Public Cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)

  .
• Perform routine maintenance of SAP Systems, ensuring system health, performance, and stability.
• Execute standard BASIS activities like

  system/client copies, SPAM/SAINT updates, Kernel Upgrades, and SNOTE application.

• Support the configuration and maintenance of Transport Management System (TMS).
• Participate in applying releases and patches, contributing to overall system improvements.
• Help with backup/restore procedures and contribute to business continuity/disaster recovery efforts for SAP technologies,

  including cloud-native options.

• Collaborate with senior team members and functional teams on SAP system integration and support.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving escalated SAP Basis issues.
• Support security and authorization tasks in both SAP Portal (JAVA Stack) and SAP S/4HANA from a BASIS perspective.
• Be flexible to work extended hours or weekends when needed for critical activities or project deadlines.

Skills & Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis/NetWeaver administration.

• SAP Systems:

• Good understanding of SAP ECC.
• Exposure to

  SAP S/4HANA (On-Premise and/or Public Cloud editions).

• Databases:

  Practical knowledge of at least two databases from: HANA, ORACLE, SYBASE, MS SQL, MaxDB.

• Operating Systems:

  Experience with at least two OS from: Linux (RHEL, SUSE), WINDOWS Server, AIX.

• Cloud Platforms:

• Exposure to Public Cloud environments like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for SAP deployments.

• Understanding of basic cloud infrastructure concepts.

Key Experience & Knowledge

• Hands-on experience in assisting with SAP system installations.

• Exposure to SAP ECC upgrades and migrations.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA conversions (e.g., participating in data migrations or system setup).
• Good understanding of DB, OS, and Network concepts as they relate to SAP landscapes and

  cloud environments.

• Practical experience with ABAP & JAVA stack (e.g., Portal) system maintenance.
• Ability to perform upgrades using SUM tools.
• Familiarity with JAVA stack administration tools (NWA, Visual Admin, Config tool etc.).
• Exposure to SAP Solution Manager (e.g., MOPZ configuration
