SAP Basis Analyst

Role Overview: You are a dedicated and skilled SAP Basis Analyst joining a global SAP support team in Chennai. Your responsibilities include providing comprehensive support for SAP systems, managing system performance, and ensuring availability for global users. You will work in a 24x5 support environment with a rotating shift schedule and be required to be on-call for weekends at least once a month. Key Responsibilities: - Administer and manage the full SAP landscape (ECC, HANA, PI/PO, SolMan, MDG etc.). - Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems and related components (SAP NetWeaver, SAP Hana, DB2, Oracle, etc.). - Monitor system health, perform troubleshooting, and resolve system issues to ensure high availability. - Proactively monitor SAP systems performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize performance (e.g., database tuning, system alerts, etc.). - Troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues (hardware, network, and SAP application-related). - Implement and maintain backup strategies for SAP systems. - Implement and manage SaaS connections for boundary applications, ensuring seamless integration with SAP. - Provide 24x5 support for SAP systems with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing system availability across all regions. - Maintain detailed and up-to-date system documentation for all SAP Basis activities. - Participate in a rotating shift schedule to ensure 24x5 support for global SAP systems. - Work closely with other IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and support of SAP solutions and add-ons. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, including system installations, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. - Experience supporting SAP systems in large, complex, global environments is preferred. - Expertise in SAP NetWeaver, SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and related SAP applications. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional and global teams. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. - SAP Certified Technology Associate SAP HANA or SAP NetWeaver is preferred.
