SAP ABAP/HANA Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled SAP ABAP on HANA Developer with experience in S/4HANA projects. The ideal candidate should have expertise in ABAP programming, database development on HANA, and performance tuning for high-performance applications. Key Responsibilities : ABAP on HANA Development : - Develop and maintain ABAP programs optimized for HANA databases. - Write and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and CDS (Core Data Services) views for data modeling and extraction. - Utilize AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) for complex data manipulations. HANA Modeling and SQL Scripting : - Design and implement HANA models, including Calculation Views, Analytical Views, and Attribute Views. - Optimize data models for performance and scalability, ensuring high-efficiency data retrieval. - Work closely with functional teams to define data models and provide efficient solutions for data-intensive applications. Performance Tuning : - Conduct performance tuning of ABAP programs running on HANA, ensuring minimal data footprint and optimized runtime. - Use SQL Trace, ABAP Trace, and other performance tools to identify bottlenecks and optimize code. SAP S/4HANA Integration : - Work on SAP S/4HANA projects, ensuring all ABAP developments align with S/4HANA best practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for implementing and enhancing custom functionality. Custom Developments : - Develop custom WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects using ABAP on HANA. - Extend standard SAP functionalities and customize them as per business requirements using User Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancements. CDS and OData Integration : - Develop and implement CDS Views for real-time reporting and data extraction. - Create and maintain OData services for integrating SAP with front-end Fiori/UI5 applications. Testing and Documentation : - Perform unit testing of ABAP developments and support integration testing activities. - Prepare technical documentation, including technical specifications, test scripts, and user guides. Required Skills : - 5-9 years of hands-on experience in ABAP programming, with at least 2+ years on HANA. - Expertise in HANA database development, including SQL scripting, CDS Views, and AMDP. - Strong experience with ABAP on HANA performance tuning and code optimization. - Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA architecture and best practices. - Knowledge of SAP UI5/Fiori integration using OData and CDS Views. - Experience with WRICEF objects development. - Understanding of SAP modules like SD, MM, FI, CO for functional and technical integration. Preferred Skills : - Experience in S/4HANA migration projects. - SAP certifications in ABAP on HANA or S/4HANA are a plus. - Familiarity with SAP HANA Studio and Eclipse as development environments. Educational Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. - SAP certification in ABAP on HANA or S/4HANA is preferred.
