Role & responsibilities : Role: SAP ABAP Technical Consultant Location: Nagpur Position: Permanent Work Mode: WFO Skills and Competencies: • Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming and related development tools • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment • Proficiency in developing custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms • Experience in SAP implementation and post-go-live support • Attention to detail and commitment to quality • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the planning and execution of SAP ABAP development projects for SAP implementation. • Participate in the full lifecycle of SAP ABAP development, including requirements gathering, system design, coding, testing, and go-live support. • Develop and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, forms, interfaces, enhancements, and conversions. • Provide post-go-live support and troubleshooting for ABAP-related issues, ensuring system stability and user satisfaction. • Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. • Optimize and improve existing ABAP programs to enhance performance and efficiency. • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including technical specifications, coding standards, and user manuals. • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality of ABAP developments. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ABAP development processes. • Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and industry trends to provide innovative solutions and recommendations. • Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for SAP ABAP development and support. • Support data migration and data conversion activities related to ABAP developments. • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and corporate policies in all development activities. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates on project progress.
