SAP ABAP-HR Consultant

Role:

Location: PAN INDIA

We are looking for a highly skilled SAP ABAP Consultant with at least 6 years of experience, specializing in SAP HR (PA/OM/Time) and ABAP development, including OData and S/4HANA. The candidate will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions, working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams. A strong techno-functional background in SAP HR and ABAP 7.4+ coding standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in SAP ABAP development across multiple implementation and support projects.
• Understand client requirements, provide technical solutions, and create functional and technical design documents (TDDs).
• Develop and enhance infotypes, create dynamic actions for email triggers, and manage data using payroll function modules and macros.
• Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and interfaces (ALE/IDOC, BAPI, Proxies, Web Services).
• Work on data conversions (LSMW/BDC), enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Spots), and object-oriented ABAP.
• Expertise in forms development (SAP Scripts, SmartForms, Adobe Forms).
• Build OData services using SAP Gateway, Eclipse IDE, and SAP Web IDE.
• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA  including CDS Views and Advanced ABAP Programming.
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, incident management, and change management.
• Perform status reporting, ticket quality checks, and SLA adherence.
• Interact regularly with onsite teams/clients, participate in daily/weekly calls, and maintain a collaborative relationship.
• Mentor junior team members, conduct KSS sessions, and contribute to COE activities.
• Take ownership of POCs/POVs and explore integration of emerging tech like AI, Blockchain, etc.
• Demonstrate leadership in client engagements and cross-functional team collaboration.

Mandatory Skills:

• Minimum 6 years of SAP ABAP experience with multiple end-to-end implementations.
• Strong experience with SAP HR (PA, OM, Time Management).
• Ability to create technical design documentation, conduct unit tests, and lead team discussions.
• Hands-on expertise in:
• ABAP 7.4 coding standards
• Forms: SAP Scripts, SmartForms, Adobe Forms
• Reports: ALV, Classical
• Interfaces: ALE/IDOC, BAPI, Proxies, Web Services
• Conversions: LSMW, BDC
• Enhancements: User Exits, BADI, Enhancement Spots
• Workflows: Development & Configuration
• OData Services: Creation, Implementation, Integration via NetWeaver Gateway
• Exposure to ASAP methodology and ITIL practices
• Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to take initiative and ownership of responsibilities

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in SAP UI5 / Fiori App Development
• Experience with SAP HANA  particularly CDS Views
• Knowledge of S/4HANA ABAP enhancements and capabilities
• ITIL v4 Certification
