Role & responsibilities

Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer BTP / RAP / CAP | 5+ Years | Bangalore / Hyderabad

Experience:

SAP ABAP Developer

Key Responsibilities

ABAP & Core Development

• Develop, enhance, and maintain custom ABAP applications including RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
  
• Develop and integrate

  OData services (v2/v4)

  for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.
• Perform debugging, code optimization, and performance tuning.
  

SAP BTP Development

• Develop cloud-native applications and extensions on

  SAP BTP

  .
• Work with

  SAP Cloud Foundry, SAP Build, SAP Integration Suite, and XSUAA Security

  .
• Utilize Connectivity, Destination Services, and Event Mesh.
  

RAP / CAP Framework Development

• Build end-to-end applications using

  RAP

  or

  CAP

  .
• Create behavior definitions, service bindings, data models, and projections.
  
• Implement backend logic using ABAP RESTful artifacts or Node.js/Java (for CAP).
  
• Ensure clean-core approach as per SAPs cloud-ready standards.
  

Integration & Deployment

• Integrate cloud applications with on-prem SAP systems via OData/REST APIs.
  
• Work with DevOps tools such as

  GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins

  for CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage applications in SAP BTP subaccounts and Cloud Foundry spaces.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of strong experience in

  SAP ABAP

  (OO ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, BOPF).
• Minimum

  25+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BTP development

  .
• Proven experience in

  RAP or CAP

  application development.
• Good understanding of

  SAP S/4HANA architecture & extensibility options

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  OData, REST, JSON

  , and integration patterns.
• Experience with

  SAP Fiori/UI5

  .
• Familiarity with

  Agile/Scrum

  methodology.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of SAP UI5 Freestyle or Fiori Elements.
  
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite, API Management, or Event Mesh.
  
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud operations.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional agile teams.
