Job Title: Sanskrit Teacher Location: St. Paul's International School, Alate, Kolhapur, India Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: St. Paul's International School in Alate, Kolhapur, is seeking an experienced and passionate Sanskrit Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the Sanskrit language and a deep understanding of its literature and cultural significance. The Sanskrit Teacher will be responsible for teaching students of various age groups, from middle school to high school, and will foster an appreciation for the language and its heritage. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development and Delivery: Design and implement an engaging Sanskrit curriculum that aligns with the CBSE school's academic standards and objectives. Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Teach Sanskrit language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension. Student Engagement and Support: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning. Provide individualized support and feedback to students to help them achieve their academic goals. Organize and conduct extracurricular activities, such as Sanskrit clubs, Sports ,competitions, and cultural events, to enhance students' learning experiences. Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess and evaluate students' progress through quizzes, exams, projects, and other assessment tools. Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Prepare students for board examinations and other standardized tests in Sanskrit. Professional Development and Collaboration: Participate in professional development programs to stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and advancements in Sanskrit education. Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs. Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required. Cultural Promotion: Promote the cultural and historical significance of Sanskrit through various school activities and events. Encourage students to explore and appreciate the rich heritage and classical literature of Sanskrit. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Sanskrit, Classical Studies, or a related field along with B.ed. Teaching certification or relevant teaching credentials in Sanskrit. Previous teaching experience in a school setting, preferably at the middle or high school level. Proficiency in Sanskrit language, including grammar, literature, and spoken Sanskrit. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Passion for teaching and promoting the Sanskrit language and culture.
