The Opportunity
As a Sr. Salesforce Developer in the GTM Tech: Platform & Services team, you will be a key technical contributor responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust solutions on Oktas Go-To-Market Technology stack, primarily Salesforce and its integrated applications. You will be a hands-on expert, tackling complex technical challenges and contributing to the day-to-day development and maintenance of the platform. You will collaborate with architects, administrators, product analysts, and vendors to deliver cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive development experience on the Salesforce platform, a commitment to code quality, a detective mindset for trouble shooting and a passion for building scalable, high-performance solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Platform Stability & Incident Resolution

Troubleshoot
and resolve
complex production issues in Apex, LWC, and Flow. - Perform
root cause analysis (RCA)
on platform incidents to implement long-term fixes and prevent future occurrences. - Troubleshoot and
optimize
critical system integrations and data flows.
Code Quality & Platform Enhancement

Optimize
and refactor
existing code to improve performance, enhance scalability, and ensure governor limit compliance. - Systematically
remediate technical debt
, including migrating legacy workflow and process builder automation, and cleaning up the existing codebase. - Build targeted solutions and automation to improve platform
resilience
, monitoring
, and overall stability
. - Explore new Salesforce features to build POCs and
proactively
enhance platform health.
Technical Best Practices
- Manage all code changes through
source control (Git)
and contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipeline. - Participate in
code reviews
to ensure high standards of code quality, security, and performance. - Create and maintain clear
technical documentation
, including runbooks and knowledge base articles. - Ensure all solutions adhere to organizational
security policies
and industry best practices.
Team Collaboration & Enablement
- Partner with
L1 and L2 Support
teams to replicate and resolve the most challenging production bugs. - Collaborate with the
DevOps team
to enhance release management processes and platform tooling. -
Mentor
administrators and junior team members on scalable development and Flow best practices. - Develop
reusable frameworks and components
to enable consistent and efficient development across the team.
Skills and Experience

5+ years
of hands-on experience in Salesforce development, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and solutions. - Deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem and platform capabilities, including expert-level proficiency in
Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, SOQL, and Flow.
- Experience with enterprise-grade SaaS applications and the development lifecycle, including
ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
- Experience working in a global or multi-location environment, effectively collaborating with teams across different time zones.
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior developers or administrators.
- Track record of driving technical innovation, encouraging creative problem-solving, and implementing forward-thinking solutions.
- A comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements and secure coding practices to ensure all solutions adhere to relevant standards (e.g., SOX Compliance).
- Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices within the Salesforce developer ecosystem.
- Proven ability to integrate new technologies and methodologies into existing solutions to drive continuous improvement.
- Capacity to handle pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain focus on technical objectives despite setbacks.
- Strong interpersonal skills that enable them to influence and drive consensus among technical and non-technical groups.
