The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture), Progressive Web Applications (PWA), custom controllers, hooks, jobs, and data feeds, along with a deep understanding of SiteGenesis architecture. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance, optimize, and maintain Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations, delivering seamless shopping experiences. The ideal candidate should also understand that clients beyond traditional web browsers (e.g., mobile apps, IoT devices) may consume data from the SFCC platform and design solutions accordingly. Responsibilities Develop, customize, and maintain e-commerce solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)Build and enhance custom controllers to implement new business logic and functionalityLeverage and extend SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and SiteGenesis architecture to meet business requirements while maintaining best practicesCollaborate on PWA development to create fast, responsive, and engaging e-commerce experiencesDevelop and maintain hooks, jobs, and data feeds to support integrations and data synchronization with external systemsIntegrate third-party systems, APIs, and payment gateways into Salesforce Commerce CloudEnsure high performance, scalability, and responsiveness of SFCC sites across devicesDebug and resolve issues with SFCC implementations, controllers, and integrations, while identifying root causes and determining where to begin investigating reported issuesUnderstand and design solutions that accommodate non-browser clients (e.g., mobile apps, third-party applications) consuming data from the SFCC platformEvaluate business requirements and identify the right tools, technologies, and architectures for a solution, even if it involves non-traditional SFCC practicesParticipate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectivesCollaborate with front-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business goalsStay up-to-date on Salesforce Commerce Cloud features, capabilities, and updates, incorporating them into projects when applicable Requirements Proven experience as a Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer, with expertise in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and SiteGenesis architectureStrong knowledge of controllers, hooks, jobs, and data feeds in Salesforce Commerce CloudExperience in Progressive Web Application (PWA) development for e-commerce platformsProficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and ISML templatesFamiliarity with integrating third-party services and APIs into SFCCStrong understanding of e-commerce best practices, including performance optimization, security, and SEOExperience working with content slots, promotions, catalog management, and order processing within SFCCKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as GitAbility to debug and troubleshoot issues effectively, understanding where to start and identifying root causes of reported problemsAbility to evaluate and adopt non-traditional SFCC tools and architectures when needed to achieve the best business outcomesUnderstanding of multi-client architecture where data may be consumed by mobile apps, IoT devices, and other clients beyond web browsersExcellent problem-solving and debugging skillsStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment Nice-to-Have Experience with TypeScript in e-commerce or PWA developmentExperience with Headless Commerce solutions using Salesforce Commerce CloudFamiliarity with Next.js or other frameworks for server-side rendering in PWA projectsKnowledge of Salesforce B2C Commerce APIs, including OCAPI and SCAPICertification as a Salesforce B2C Commerce DeveloperExposure to front-end frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular If you are passionate about delivering exceptional e-commerce experiences, have a deep understanding of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SFRA, Progressive Web Applications, custom controllers, hooks, jobs, data feeds, and SiteGenesis, and can think outside the box to deliver innovative solutions, we’d love to hear from you.
