Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Promote and sell Axis Banks MAB-linked products (e.g. current accounts, savings accounts, business accounts, Merchant-Acquiring / business banking accounts) to new and existing customers.

Acquire new clients both individuals and businesses and open accounts in line with bank guidelines (KYC, documentation, etc.).

Cross-sell additional bank products (e.g. debit/credit cards, deposit products, payment solutions, business banking services) along with MAB-accounts.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory, documentation, and bank policy norms (KYC, AML, account opening procedures, risk policies).

Maintain customer relationships follow up with clients for account usage, address queries/complaints, and ensure good service to drive retention and deepening (e.g. upselling, additional services).

Achieve assigned business and sales targets in terms of number of accounts opened, volume of deposits / balances (MAB), growth in CASA / current-account book, revenue / fees from MAB-linked accounts, etc.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Graduate (Bachelors degree) in any discipline. Some roles may prefer MBA / PG Diploma or relevant experience.

Strong communication, interpersonal and sales orientation. Good negotiation / convincing skills.

Willingness to travel / do field visits, meet potential customers / businesses, as accounts may require outreach especially for business banking / merchant-acquiring leads.

Basic computer literacy (for CRM / account-opening apps / banking software / data entry).

Compliance orientation ability to follow internal and regulatory guidelines for KYC, risk, documentation.

Target-driven mindset ability to deliver on monthly/quarterly targets for new accounts, deposit growth, service cross-sell, etc.
