Job Summary:

Sales Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely placement and attractive display of mats across retail outlets.
  
• Maintain stock levels and ensure correct product assortments at each store.
  
• Work closely with the sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  
• Implement planograms and promotional displays as per marketing guidelines.
  
• Monitor competitor activity and report market intelligence.
  
• Collect feedback from retailers/customers to improve product visibility and sales.
  
• Coordinate with logistics for product replenishment and timely deliveries.
  
• Prepare daily reports on store visits, stock status, and merchandising activities.
  
• Train retail staff on product features and benefits.
  
• Handle POS materials, banners, stands, and promotional branding tools at the outlet level.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Good understanding of retail operations and merchandising.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Basic sales and negotiation skills.
  
• Eye for visual presentation and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage a store route.
  
• Familiarity with reporting tools and mobile apps for field data entry.
  
• Basic knowledge of textile or home furnishing products is a plus.
  

Qualifications:

• Graduate in any stream (Commerce/Marketing preferred).
  
• 1-3 years of experience in merchandising, sales, or field marketing.
  
• Experience in mats, furnishings, floor coverings, or related products is advantageous.
