Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Sales Manager is to lead and manage the sales division to ensure the achievement of business objectives and revenue targets. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, overseeing day-to-day operations, driving team performance, and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall growth strategy. The Sales Manager plays a critical role in guiding the team, expanding the customer base, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the division progresses in the right direction across all commercial, operational, and customer engagement aspects.

Duties and responsibilities

· Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional and international sales targets in alignment with company goals and budgets.

· Lead and manage the sales team across assigned markets, ensuring effective planning, execution, and performance monitoring.

· Drive business development by identifying new markets, customer segments, and sales opportunities, particularly within overseas markets.

· Coordinate with the Group Business Head to support company-specific sales and marketing plans, revenue forecasts, and profitability analysis.

· Monitor and control all aspects of the sales budget including cost estimation, resource allocation, and revenue tracking to ensure profitability.

· Oversee daily sales operations and ensure efficient execution of sales orders, inventory control, and logistics coordination.

· Collaborate with internal departments including Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations to align efforts and streamline processes.

· Identify and explore cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing customer portfolios while acquiring new clients.

· Ensure the effective use of ERP, CRM, and other digital tools for sales planning, reporting, customer engagement, and inventory tracking.

· Provide leadership in managing escalated client concerns, ensuring quick resolution of issues related to technical compliance, brand representation, and regulatory requirements.

· Conduct regular field visits and customer meetings to ensure service excellence, relationship development, and brand positioning.

· Track competitor activities, industry trends, and product innovations to provide market intelligence and support strategic planning.

· Support the development and launch of new products and marketing campaigns through exhibitions, trade fairs, and digital platforms.

· Lead training, and performance evaluation of the sales team to ensure productivity and alignment with company values and targets.

· Foster a high-performance sales culture through coaching, mentoring, and goal-setting activities, while maintaining a positive and collaborative team environment.

· Ensure compliance with international and local regulatory standards, including quality, safety, and operational procedures.

· Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure timely invoicing, payment collections, and credit control management.

· Monitor and report on sales metrics, forecasts, and KPIs, and present regular performance updates to senior leadership.

· Support supply chain planning by coordinating inventory forecasting, turnover ratio analysis, and procurement cost evaluations.

· Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure product quality standards, price competitiveness, and timely delivery schedules.

· Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual business performance reports covering financials, operations, and market developments.

· Represent the company at high-level internal meetings and provide strategic inputs to the Board of Directors and Executive Management.

· Promote adherence to company policies, health & safety standards, and industry best practices across all business units under purview.

· Perform any additional responsibilities or special projects as assigned by the Executive Director or Group Business Head.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree with minimum of 50% academic score

Experience : 8+ Years of Relevant Experience in selling welding machineries , Consumables & Lifting Products

Skills:

· Result oriented, creative; possess strong interpersonal & communication skills; have entrepreneurial leanings

· Ability to understand client's needs and present solutions

· Need to be self-learner and manage according to environment.

· Understanding of market and product

· Ability to gather and analyze information

· Excellent customer service skills

· Ability to understand and collect information related to business enquiries from potential clients government companies, trading companies, industrial companies.

· Able to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

· Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

· Effective negotiation skills

· Sound and accurate judgment and share correct information about market.

· Well developed interpersonal and communication skills

· Computer literate, especially MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)

· Ability to work in a multicultural environment with colleagues around the world and in multiple time zones
