Job Description

Spectrum Solar is a leading provider of solar energy solutions in Kerala, committed to delivering sustainable and innovative solar power systems. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in solar energy systems and be responsible for driving sales, developing client relationships, and supporting the design and installation of solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Lead Generation:
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities for solar energy solutions in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
  • Conduct site visits and provide solar energy assessments for potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
  • Present customized solar proposals and offer technical consultations to clients based on their energy needs.
  • Technical Support & System Design:
  • Work closely with clients to understand their energy consumption patterns and recommend the best solar systems tailored to their needs.
  • Provide technical assistance in designing solar power systems, including sizing, energy estimates, and layout planning.
  • Prepare detailed technical proposals and quotations for clients, ensuring accurate pricing and optimal system design.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Sales Presentations & Negotiations:
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns, providing technical expertise to overcome objections and close deals effectively.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and new solar technologies to provide innovative solutions to clients.
  • Conduct research on potential clients, project requirements, and local policies for solar energy.
  • Project Support & Coordination:
  • Assist in coordinating the execution of solar projects from initial sale to installation and commissioning.
  • Ensure that all projects are executed on time, meet quality standards, and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and provide technical support during installation and post-installation phases.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Develop strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, providing ongoing support and ensuring their satisfaction with the solar solutions provided.
  • Handle post-installation queries and troubleshooting to maintain customer loyalty and ensure a positive experience.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of sales leads, client communications, and project details in the company’s CRM system.
  • Report regularly to senior management on sales performance, customer feedback, and project status.
  • Training & Development:
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in solar technology and market trends.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge and technical expertise in solar systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, electronics, Renewable Energy, Mechanical or a related field.
  • 6 Months + experience in solar sales or technical sales engineering, preferably in the solar energy industry(But not mandatory ,will consider any field of experience)
  • Basic understanding of solar energy systems, including PV technology, inverters, battery storage, and solar system design
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to convert leads into customers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and provide suitable solar solutions.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and policies related to renewable energy is a plus(Not mandatory)
