Job Description

Role Overview: As a Sales Development Specialist in the biotechnology industry, your main responsibility will be to drive revenue growth for specific strategic products or product groups within a defined market territory. You will achieve this by actively managing a range of accounts, nurturing relationships, and leveraging your strong technical knowledge to successfully introduce new strategic products to the market. Your collaboration with Account Management & Application Specialist will be crucial in managing the Opportunity lifecycle effectively. Utilizing our CRM system (SFDC) will be essential for managing sales activities and customer interactions to meet both your personal targets and the overall sales goals of Sartorius. Key Responsibilities: - Initiate and manage the entire sales process within your assigned territory and strategic product range, from lead generation to after-sales, in close coordination with Account Managers - Utilize SFDC to manage and document leads, opportunities, customer interactions, and sales activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM system - Analyze SFDC data to identify trends, gain customer insights, and monitor sales performance for assigned customers - Maintain the CRM system with relevant and current customer information to support sales opportunities - Develop and achieve targets for specific products or product groups by focusing on seeding and spec in activities to drive sales growth - Provide technical and commercial support to Account Managers and customers on relevant products and processes - Manage the opportunity funnel and account portfolio to meet short- and long-term product/market goals and address customer needs effectively - Identify, implement, and execute action plans to grow the business for strategic products or defined markets in alignment with the Sales and Sartorius strategy Qualifications Required: - Academic degree in life sciences or engineering, with a higher level of education considered beneficial - Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience, preferably in laboratory/process-based roles within the Life Science industry - Proficiency in using SFDC and other CRM tools in a proactive manner - Strong technical knowledge and extensive industry expertise, particularly in Biotech, Pharma, etc. - Experience in selling capital instrumentation and/or consumables/reagents to clients across different sectors is advantageous - Result-oriented, highly motivated, and capable of delivering excellent customer service - Ability to handle complex issues through innovation and efficient processes - Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with customers and internal stakeholders (Note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description.),
