Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Management & Revenue Achievement
- Achieve
monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
for PP and ETP materials across assigned customers. - Manage the complete sales cycle including enquiries, RFQs, order bookings, dispatch follow-up, and payment collection.
- Prepare
customer-wise sales forecasts
, monitor performance, and take corrective actions where required. - Drive
year-on-year growth
in each existing account by increasing product penetration and wallet share.
2. Key Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key Automotive and Non-Automotive customers.
- Conduct periodic business reviews to understand future requirements, challenges, and growth areas.
- Coordinate with internal teams (technical, logistics, production, R&D) to ensure seamless execution and high service levels.
- Track competition, customer shifts, and upcoming projects within each account.
3. Marketing Activities for Account Growth

- Conduct technical seminars, capability presentations, and VA/VE workshops at customer locations.
- Showcase Autotech-Sirmax's PP and ETP capabilities, including sustainability and PCR/PIR solutions.
- Promote new grades, new applications, and innovative solutions through targeted marketing material, brochures, case studies, and sample programs.
- Organize Technology Days or customised technical sessions for customer teams.
- Identify
new application opportunities within existing accounts
to generate incremental business.
4. New Customer Acquisition
- Identify and onboard
new customers
in Automotive and Non-Automotive sectors to support overall sales growth. - Develop a structured plan for expanding market reach across regions and industry verticals.
- Initiate first-level discussions with prospective customers, understand their requirements, and position suitable PP/ETP grades.
- Coordinate internally to support trials, approvals, and commercial discussions for new accounts.
5. Technical & Commercial Support
- Work closely with R&D and technical teams to support material trials, approvals, and application development.
- Ensure timely submission of TDS, UDB, compliance documents, and technical clarifications.
- Lead commercial negotiations and finalize pricing to ensure profitable closures.
6. Market Understanding & Segment Knowledge
- Track demand patterns, competitor movements, and new application opportunities across Automotive and Non-Automotive sectors.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PP compounds, ETP materials, and their application requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related field; MBA preferred.
5+ years of experience in Sales
of PP compounds and/or Engineering Thermoplastics.- Proven track record of growing sales in both existing accounts and new customer segments.
- Strong technical understanding of polymers and their applications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of automotive standards, approvals, and OEM/Tier-1 processes.
Experience conducting technical or marketing presentations at customer sites.
Understanding of sustainability trends, PCR/PIR materials, and circular polymer solutions.
Strong relationship-building skills and ability to maintain long-term customer
partnerships.
Ability to make effective, structured, and engaging presentations.
Eloquent, fluent, and confident communication in English.
Excellent written communication skills, including email drafting, proposals, and
reports.
