About the Role

Business Development Executive (BDE)


Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify potential clients through research, cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and networking.
  • Generate high-quality leads for software development projects.
  • Maintain and update the sales pipeline using CRM tools.

2. Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Understand client requirements and propose suitable software solutions.
  • Conduct product demos, presentations, and meetings with prospects.
  • Build long-term relationships with domestic and international clients.

3. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Prepare business proposals, quotations, and project estimations.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth project handovers.

4. Market Research & Strategy

  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities in the IT industry.
  • Recommend improvements in service offerings and business development strategies.
  • Explore new verticals such as EdTech, FinTech, Retail, Healthcare, etc.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Maintain documentation of meetings, proposals, and client communications.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication & presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT services.
  • Lead generation experience on platforms like LinkedIn, Upwork, Freelancer, etc.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and convert them into proposals.
  • Negotiation & closing skills.
  • CRM tool experience (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce preferred).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT Sales / Business Development (freshers with excellent communication can also apply).
  • Experience selling software services or digital solutions is an advantage.
