Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Sales Associate to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will support the promotion and sales of our publishing services, assisting authors and clients in achieving their publishing goals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about books and eager to start a career in the publishing industry. No prior experience is required, but enthusiasm for sales and customer service is essential. This full-time position is based in Gurgaon and reports to the Sales Associate.


Key Responsibilities

- Assist in identifying and reaching out to potential authors and clients through calls, emails, and social media to promote Zorba Books' publishing packages and services.

- Provide administrative support to the sales team, including preparing sales reports, updating customer databases, and tracking leads using CRM tools.

- Respond to inquiries from prospective authors, offering information on services like editing, formatting, printing, and distribution.

- Help organize and participate in promotional events, book fairs, and webinars to showcase our publishing solutions.

- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing and editorial) to ensure smooth client onboarding and follow-up on sales opportunities.

- Maintain accurate records of sales interactions and contribute to meeting monthly sales targets.

- Stay informed about industry trends in self-publishing to better assist clients.


Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients.

- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with cold calling, email and social media platforms.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

- Willingness to learn about the publishing industry and sales processes.

- Interest in books, writing, or creative industries.

- Basic knowledge of sales principles or customer service experience (e.g., from retail or internships).

- Enthusiasm for building relationships and helping others achieve their goals.
