As a Sales Assistant (FOS) with New trends commerce you will be responsible for assisting sellers in providing product related information in the prescribed format which would then be uploaded on the online website along with product images and thereby enable sellers to list their products on the online platform. You will be reporting into the local City Manager but working under guidance, instruction & direction of the local Services Specialist. This role is a great opportunity to be part of a new entrepreneurial team solving challenging problems in the e-commerce space. The ideal candidate will have ability to work in an environment with minimal supervision, deliver results under time constraints, execute repeatable processes and have good English language skills. Operating in a rapidly changing environment will require the candidate to be comfortable dealing with ambiguous, new and challenging situations. The role will require local travel. Role & responsibilities 1. Understand products and services offered by online businesses services and be able to articulate its functions and benefits to external audiences. 2. Help define the seller base and industry verticals we target for various services using local knowledge. 3. Identify valuable sellers and selection for online services. 4. Acquire retailers with valuable selection and establish long-term partnerships. 5. Own and manage integration of portfolio of sellers and help them become self-reliant through basic training. 6. Track and monitor performance and sales of key partners to manage their performance. This position is based out of Surat, India and will require travel to retailer locations within city. Preferred candidate profile . More than 4+ years of experience in sales . Bachelor's degree required, MBA is preferred . Passion for e-commerce is required. . Experience in an analytical, results-oriented environment with external customer interaction. . Proven ability to manage the business "by the numbers". Must be metrics-driven. . Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly. . Experience working with SME retailers is an advantage. . Experience with e-commerce, retail, advertising, or media would be an advantage. . Deep understanding of the retail and wholesale landscape in India with prior interactions with sellers and distributors is desirable. . Experience selling nascent (embryonic/start-up) products/services into new markets is desired. .
