Sailpoint DevOPS Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• CI/CD Pipeline Development:

  Design, build, and maintain robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines specifically for SailPoint IdentityIQ or IdentityNow deployments, ensuring automated testing, build, and release processes.

• Automation Scripting:

  Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using languages like Python, PowerShell, Groovy, or BeanShell to automate SailPoint installations, configurations, upgrades, patching, and routine administrative tasks.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

  Implement and manage infrastructure for SailPoint environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation/ARM templates.

• Configuration Management:

  Automate the configuration management of SailPoint components and related infrastructure to ensure consistency and repeatability across environments.

• Monitoring & Alerting:

  Configure and manage monitoring solutions for SailPoint applications and underlying infrastructure, defining alerts and dashboards to ensure proactive issue detection and performance optimization.

• Deployment & Release Management:

  Orchestrate and manage automated deployments of SailPoint solutions across various environments (Dev, QA, Prod), ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transitions.

• Troubleshooting:

  Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues related to SailPoint deployments, performance, and operational stability.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with SailPoint developers, architects, security teams, and operations teams to integrate DevOps practices into the entire Identity Governance lifecycle.

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks for Sai lPoint environments.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• DevOps Principles:

  Strong understanding and practical experience with core DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation best practices.

• SailPoint Expertise:

  Hands-on experience with

  SailPoint IdentityIQ

  or

  SailPoint IdentityNow

  , including knowledge of its architecture, components, and configuration.

• Scripting Proficiency:

  Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g.,

  Python

  ) for automation and integration.

• CI/CD Tools:

  Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Configuration Management/IaC:

  Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and/or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).

• Cloud Platforms (Plus):

  Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

• Identity & Access Management (IAM):

  Basic understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and security principles.

• Problem-Solving:

  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to automating and optimizing operations.

• Communication:

  Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Relevant DevOps or SailPoint certifications are a plus.
