Job Summary

Safety Trainer

Key Responsibilitie

• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analysis to identify potential safety issues and implement corrective actions.
  
• Provide specialized training on topics including but not limited to: Confined Space Entry, Fire Safety, Hazardous Materials Handling, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Emergency Response, and Environmental Safety.
  
• Ensure that training programs meet regulatory requirements and company policies and are continuously updated to reflect new safety standards.
  
• Maintain training records, monitor employee certifications, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  
• Promote a culture of safety within the workplace through continuous engagement, reinforcement of safety protocols, and proactive communication.
  
• Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response procedures and safety drills.
  
• Coordinate with other departments (operations, maintenance, engineering) to identify specific safety needs and tailor training programs accordingly.
  
• Stay up-to-date with the latest safety trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the oil and gas sector.
  
• Conduct post-training evaluations to assess the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
  

Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, best practices, and risk management in the oil and gas industry.
  
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
  
• Ability to assess, develop, and customize safety training programs based on specific organizational and operational needs.
  
• Proficient with safety software, MS Office, and training management systems.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
