Key roles and responsibilities

• Policy and procedure:

   Develop, implement, and enforce company safety policies and procedures.

• Inspections and risk assessment:

   Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and perform risk assessments to evaluate the safety of work processes.

• Training and orientation:

   Provide safety training and orientations for all employees, ensuring they understand safety protocols and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Accident investigation:

   Investigate all accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

• Compliance and record-keeping:

   Ensure the workplace complies with all health and safety regulations and maintain accurate safety records and reports.

• Emergency preparedness:

   Oversee and train employees on emergency procedures and response protocols.

• Equipment and PPE:

   Ensure that safety equipment is properly maintained and that employees use the correct PPE for each task.
