Job Description

Safety Compliance & Monitoring

Ensure compliance with all statutory safety regulations and company safety policies.
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

2. Incident Management

Record, investigate, and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
Implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Maintain safety logs, documentation, and compliance records.

3. Training & Awareness

Conduct toolbox talks, safety induction sessions, and awareness programs in Tamil and English.
Educate workers on safe practices, emergency procedures, and use of PPE.

4. Safety Equipment & PPE Management

Ensure proper usage and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Monitor availability and condition of safety tools and equipment.

5. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and management on safety-related matters.
Communicate safety instructions clearly in Tamil and Hindi.
Participate in safety committee meetings.

6. Emergency Preparedness

Support development and implementation of emergency response plans.
Conduct mock drills and safety demonstrations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
23 years of experience as a Safety Officer (constructions preferred).
Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent (added advantage).
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
Proficiency in
Tamil and Hindi
(mandatory).
Good communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
