Job Title: Safety Officer (Off Roll-Under Lead HR Payroll) No of Positions : 3 Location: Chennai / Bellary (Karnataka) Job Summary: The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the implementation and adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across the organization. This role involves conducting risk assessments, enforcing regulations, and promoting a culture of safety among employees and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Policy Implementation: Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analysis. Recommend preventive and corrective actions to mitigate risks. Training & Awareness: Organize safety training sessions and workshops for employees. Ensure all staff are educated on workplace safety practices and emergency procedures. Compliance Monitoring: Inspect work areas, equipment, and operations to ensure compliance with safety standards. Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, and training. Prepare and submit safety reports to management and regulatory bodies as required. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and test emergency response plans. Act as the first point of contact in case of safety-related emergencies. Qualifications & Skills: Educational Background: Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent certification preferred. Experience: 1-2 years experience as a safety officer .
