Safety Officer (Chemical)

As a Safety Officer at our company, your role will be crucial in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards within a chemical manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring workplace safety and conducting risk assessments - Implementing safety procedures to mitigate risks - Promoting a culture of safe operations among all employees - Demonstrating knowledge of Site Safety Rules, regulations, and best practices - Preparing Daily Safety Documents/Reports to track and communicate safety measures effectively - Applying a strong understanding of regulatory guidelines such as OSHA, OSHPD, and other relevant standards - Understanding and adhering to chemical safety standards and regulations - Conducting risk assessments and investigations in response to incidents - Awareness of HAZOP and HAZMAT protocols - Coordinating safety training sessions and audits to ensure compliance with safety norms Qualifications required for this role include: - BE Degree in Chemical Engineering with a diploma in safety - 2-5 years of experience in a similar role - Language proficiency in English and Tamil Additionally, the company offers benefits such as health insurance and Provident Fund.
