Job Description

As a Safety & Security Officer at our company based in Salem, your primary role will be to monitor and ensure the safety and security of employees, visitors, and property. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of the premises, overseeing CCTV operations, enforcing company safety policies, and identifying potential safety hazards. You will also be expected to support emergency response procedures, maintain security logs, and assist in implementing safety programs and compliance checks. Additionally, you will need to ensure the proper functioning of fire extinguishers, alarms, and safety equipment, and coordinate with local authorities and internal teams during incidents. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and ensure the safety and security of employees, visitors, and property. - Conduct regular patrols of premises, including entry points, critical areas, and emergency exits. - Oversee CCTV operations and promptly report suspicious activities. - Enforce company safety policies, access control, and visitor management procedures. - Identify potential safety hazards and report them for corrective action. - Support emergency response, fire safety drills, and evacuation procedures. - Maintain daily security logs, incident reports, and shift handover notes. - Assist in implementing safety programs, risk assessments, and compliance checks. - Ensure proper functioning of fire extinguishers, alarms, and safety equipment. - Coordinate with local authorities, emergency services, and internal teams during incidents. Qualifications Required: - Experience in safety/security roles preferred. - Knowledge of safety standards, emergency procedures, and basic first aid. - Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control, and communication devices. - Physically fit, alert, and able to handle pressure in emergency situations. - Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills. - Professional, disciplined, and reliable.
