ROLE SUMMARY (PURPOSE) The Manager of Enterprise Risk Management at Muthoot FinCorp (MFL) is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks of new products, processes and outsourced IT/Non-IT vendors. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive risk management framework that covers operational, credit, market, liquidity, and regulatory risks of loan products. The manager ensures compliance with RBI guidelines, enhances fraud detection mechanisms, and supports business continuity planning. by providing regular risk reports to senior management and the Risk Management Committee, the manager plays a critical role in safeguarding the company's assets and reputation. Strong analytical skills, regulatory knowledge, and leadership abilities are essential for success in this position. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct risk assessments of loan products, processes and identifying operational, credit, market, liquidity, and compliance risks. Implement processes for continuous monitoring of emerging risks across all loan products and services Develop and implement risk management frameworks and various risk control measures in compliance with RBI and other regulatory guidelines. Recommend risk mitigation strategies, policies, and actions to senior management. Prepare detailed reports on risk exposures and risk mitigation actions for the Risk Management Committee, senior management, and the Board of Directors. Conduct regular review of complaints against the vendor (risk events) reported and perform root cause analysis in consultation with business units. Identification of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and regular monitoring and reporting of KRI breaches to senior management. Tracking of action plans developed and monitoring the closure of the same within timelines. KEY INTERACTIONS Internal Stakeholders External Stakeholders Board of Directors, Risk Management Committee, CEO and CFO Internal Audit and Quality Assurance Legal and Compliance Operations and Change Management Product Team Business Teams Regulatory Authorities Customers External Auditors KEY ROLE DIMENSIONS This is a Pan India Individual Contribution role, which requires continuous communication, mostly with senior leaders and mid-level managers KEY SKILLS & BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES Comprehensive knowledge of RBI guidelines, NBFC regulations and banking/loan products is essential for the role Ability to handle credit, operational and outsourcing risk in a large enterprise Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risk exposures, identify potential threats, and recommend mitigation strategies. Proficiency in understanding financial statements, loan portfolios, and the impact of risks on the companys financial health. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Minimum Qualification: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance. Additional professional certification in Risk Management domain would be preferred. Nature of Experience: Minimum 7-10 years with experience in handling Credit/ Operational/ Outsourcing risk for a period of 3-4 years
