About this role: As a key member of the People & Organization (P&O) team at Novartis Healthcare Private Limited in Mumbai, India, you will play a crucial role in preparing the organization for the future and operationalizing strategic plans for implementation. Your responsibilities will include directly influencing divisional strategy, shaping the NVS P&O strategy, and championing the P&O agenda. Key responsibilities: You will work closely with the P&O Head India and the innovative medicines international (commercial) business leadership team to develop and implement the business plan. Your role involves translating the business roadmap into P&O strategic and operational plans for the business unit, monitoring compliance, and initiating corrective measures if deviations occur. Additionally, you will establish positive relationships with the client group and the P&O community, partnering with the larger P&O organization to expand the footprint in India, drive talent development, and build capabilities. You will collaborate with Business Partners to ensure the cohesive implementation of the P&O strategy in alignment with the overall business strategy. This includes setting and achieving performance goals based on business priorities, driving talent strategy, promoting rewards and recognition programs, and ensuring the right compensation and benefits strategy. You will coach senior line managers in driving the talent agenda, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives. Essential Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have 12 to 15 years of experience, with at least 3+ years of experience leading mid-size businesses. Your background should include exposure across various P&O elements such as organizational design, talent acquisition, retention strategies, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and other reward mechanisms. A graduate degree in business or management, preferably with an MBA or equivalent specializing in Human Resources, is required.
