Overview


Key Responsibilities:

1. Domain Leadership:

  • Drive strategic vision and roadmap for retail technology and solutions aligned with customer and business needs.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends (e.g., Omnichannel, eCommerce, POS, Supply Chain, Customer Experience) and guide innovation in solutions.
  • Serve as the retail SME across internal teams and customer engagements.

2. Technology & Application Oversight:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of retail applications including ERP, CRM, SCM, WMS, POS, and eCommerce platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams (development, QA, architecture) to ensure solutions meet quality and scalability standards.
  • Provide governance across application lifecycle and modernization programs.

3. RFP & Proposal Management:

  • Lead and coordinate the end-to-end RFP process for retail technology projects.
  • Translate customer requirements into winning proposals, including solutioning, effort estimation, pricing models, and value articulation.
  • Work closely with sales, pre-sales, and delivery teams to craft compelling business cases.

4. Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Act as a senior point of contact for global retail customers, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnership.
  • Understand client business models and challenges to proactively offer value-driven solutions.
  • Drive account growth through consultative engagement and innovation.

5. Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead a team of domain experts, business analysts, and solution architects.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and training to build domain competency across the organization.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 8-10 years in retail domain leadership.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale retail technology programs and RFPs.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, industry standards, and technology platforms.
  • Experience working with global teams and multinational clients.


Skills:

  • Deep domain knowledge in areas such as Omnichannel Retail, Digital Commerce, In-Store Technologies, and Customer Experience.
  • Strong understanding of application ecosystems including SAP, Oracle Retail, Salesforce, Manhattan, etc.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity in complex engagements.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in retail technologies (e.g., SAP IS-Retail, Oracle Retail).
  • Experience in digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
