Job Title: Head of Retail Business Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Reports To: CEO About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Retail Business to lead and drive the retail operations of our company. This strategic leadership position requires an individual with a strong background in retail management, business development and team leadership. The Head of Retail Business will be responsible for overseeing the entire retail division, ensuring the growth of sales, profitability and operational efficiency. This role will report directly to the CEO and will be a key member of the executive team. Key Responsibilities: - Retail Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective retail strategies that align with the companys long-term vision. Identify growth opportunities, market trends and customer needs to drive sales and brand visibility. - Business Development: Lead efforts to expand and diversify the retail business, including identifying potential markets and new retail partnerships. - Sales & Revenue Management: Oversee sales targets, budgets and profit margins. Monitor key performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure revenue growth and cost efficiency. - Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and build a high-performance retail team. Set clear performance goals, provide ongoing training and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence. - Retail Operations Management: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of all retail outlets, from inventory management to customer experience. Establish and enforce best practices to maintain operational excellence. - Customer Experience: Focus on improving the overall customer journey both online and offline. Ensure that all retail touchpoints deliver a premium, consistent and engaging customer experience. - Vendor & Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of products. - Market Analysis & Reporting: Regularly analyze market conditions, competitor activities and consumer behavior. Provide regular reports to the CEO on retail performance and key initiatives. Key Requirements: - Proven experience of 15+ years in retail management, preferably in a leadership role. - Strong knowledge of retail operations, including sales, supply chain and customer service. - Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage large-scale retail operations and drive business growth. - In-depth understanding of the retail landscape, market trends and customer preferences. - Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. - Ability to make data-driven decisions and utilize business analytics to drive strategy. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate challenges in a fast-paced environment. - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or a related field. MBA preferred.
