Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to lead the service team and ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. The Captain acts as the key link between the kitchen and the front-of-house team, ensuring high standards of service, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and guide waitstaff during service hours. Greet and welcome guests, assist in seating, and ensure excellent guest service throughout their visit. Take and serve orders accurately and efficiently, coordinating with the kitchen and bar. Ensure tables are properly set and dining areas are clean and well-maintained. Train and mentor junior staff on service procedures and etiquette. Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and promotional offers. Assist the Restaurant Manager in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and shift reports. Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards. Requirements: Proven experience as a Captain or Senior Waiter in a busy restaurant. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership qualities and ability to manage a small team. Strong attention to detail and customer service focus. Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of restaurant service experience. Familiarity with POS systems and table management software. Basic wine and beverage knowledge. Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
