Job Title: Resident Sales Engineer / Manager – Gujarat Department: Sales Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager Location: Ahmedabad Job Purpose The Resident Sales Engineer/Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and enhancing customer engagement for Aquarius's product portfolio in Gujarat. This includes boom pumps, line pumps, and RMC batching plants. The role focuses on achieving regional sales targets, delivering technical and commercial support, developing the dealer network, and strengthening the company’s market presence. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Gujarat. Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with corporate goals. Conduct market intelligence activities to assess customer needs and market trends. Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer queries, offering product information and technical support. Conduct regular site visits to evaluate customer requirements and offer tailored solutions. Dealer Network Management Collaborate with authorized dealers in Gujarat to drive sales and expand reach. Train and support dealer personnel to enhance product knowledge and sales performance. Sales Reporting & Market Insights Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, pipelines, and forecasts. Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to provide strategic feedback to management. Technical Support & Product Demonstrations Organize and lead product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions for customers and dealers. Work closely with service and technical teams to ensure prompt resolution of customer issues and effective post-sales support. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline. MBA will be considered an added advantage. Experience Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in construction equipment or heavy machinery. Prior experience in the Gujarat market is preferred. Languages Proficiency in Hindi and English is required. Fluency in Gujarati is mandatory. Competencies Core Competencies Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. High level of initiative, self-motivation, and goal orientation. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Technical Competencies In-depth understanding of construction equipment, including boom pumps, line pumps, and batching plants. Ability to explain technical specifications and demonstrate equipment effectively.
