Researcher

As a Researcher for a large-scale political campaign in Punjab, your role will involve conducting fieldwork, implementing surveys and interviews, analyzing voter sentiment, and providing insights that shape campaign strategies. You should have at least 3+ years of experience in political/social research, polling, or related fields. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups with voters across Punjab in conversational Punjabi. - Assist in recruiting, training, and coordinating with local field investigators and enumerators. - Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely collection of primary data. - Administer research instruments such as questionnaires and interview guides. - Support execution of both qualitative and quantitative studies designed by senior researchers. - Monitor field activities to maintain data quality and integrity. - Organize and clean data collected from fieldwork. - Conduct basic analysis using spreadsheet tools and research software (SPSS, Qualtrics, or similar). - Identify key themes, trends, and insights to inform campaign strategy. - Prepare clear summaries of findings, observations, and recommendations for internal teams. - Assist in drafting reports and presentations for the strategy and communications teams. - Track media, local conversations, and political updates to feed into ongoing research. - Share timely field intelligence on voter sentiment, concerns, and emerging issues. Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience with surveys, interviews, and focus groups. - Strong skills in organizing data, identifying patterns, and deriving insights. - Excellent interpersonal skills; fluency in Punjabi essential. - Good understanding of Punjab's social and political environment. - Ability to manage multiple field tasks and deliver under tight timelines. - High regard for discretion in handling sensitive information. This is a 12-month contractual position based in Mohali/Chandigarh, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and project needs.,
