Research & Outreach Associate – CIRA

We are seeking a motivated Research & Outreach Associate with prior NGO or nonprofit experience to support CIRA’s mission. The candidate will conduct research, connect with like-minded organizations and individuals, and assist in community-building efforts. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping a national-level initiative that protects and empowers creative professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Research & Analysis
• Conduct secondary research on copyright, AI policies, and creative industry rights.
• Track global and Indian developments in AI and creative rights.
• Prepare briefs, reports, and presentations for the leadership team.
• Outreach & Networking
• Identify and connect with partner NGOs, creative communities, universities, and industry stakeholders.
• Maintain a contact database of potential allies, members, and collaborators.
• Support in building membership and partnership pipelines.
• Support Activities
• Assist in organizing webinars, workshops, and events.
• Help prepare communication material for social media, newsletters, and advocacy campaigns.
• Document meetings, maintain minutes, and coordinate follow-ups.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1-1.5 years of experience working in an NGO, nonprofit, or advocacy organization.
• Education: Graduate degree (preferably in Social Sciences, Arts, Law, Media, or related fields).
• Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential for outreach).
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to network and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of digital tools (MS Office/Google Workspace, social media).
• Interest in copyright, creative industries, and AI policy (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
