SGR India is looking for a Research Engineer to join our growing team. The candidate will be part of the Project Management Office (PMO), which is responsible for creating and enforcing project management standards and tools to support the project and innovation lifecycle. The PMO supports project managers in delivering projects on schedule while meeting agreed-upon expectations. As a facilitator, the candidate ensures that projects are managed according to specific standards set by the organization (SG/BU standards). Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for setting and maintaining these project standards. The role involves providing centralized coordination and support for specific or all projects within the organization. In summary, the PMO role is crucial for maintaining project management standards, supporting project managers, and ensuring that projects align with organizational goals. This position will specifically focus on the needs of the Life Sciences Business Unit (BU). The candidate will integrate current project management practices and support project leaders from core BU activities/market to breakthrough projects by providing the right methodologies and standards. Accordingly, the candidate will have numerous interactions with the Life Sciences team, including project leaders, technical leaders, and the R&D portfolio manager. Responsibilities Project Management Methodologies: Understand and apply different project management methodologies (e.g., stage-gate, agile, sprint, fast-track, etc.). Support the project leader in defining the appropriate methodologies based on project complexity and Single Point of Contact: Serve as the single point of contact for all Project Leaders (PLs) in the Glass division. Training and Communication: Conduct regular training sessions on existing tools (e.g., FMEA, BCM, Blueprinting) and ensure effective communication. Project Guidance: Provide guidance, documentation, and tools to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder satisfaction. Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and maintain project management standards, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Business Communication: Communicate effectively using business language in an industrial environment and coordinate with project leaders, team leaders, and portfolio managers. Safety Compliance: Respect and promote a safe work environment, abide by Saint-Gobain safety, health, and environment policies, and identify opportunities for improving workplace safety. Competencies Project Management Skills: Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Stage-gate), excellent organizational and leadership skills, and proficiency in Pack Office tools. Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix structure with people from diverse backgrounds, including business, manufacturing, research, engineering, and marketing. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement. Adaptability: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to change. Efficiency: Organized, efficient, and able to meet deadlines. Business Acumen: Knowledge of business goals and the ability to align project goals accordingly.  Qualifications Education: M.Tech/MS/ with a certification in Project Management Program (PMP) Experience: Experience in using different project management methodologies.
