Job Description

As a Research Chemist in our team, you will be responsible for conducting multistep organic synthesis and reaction optimization on a lab scale. Your expertise in handling various lab reactors like glass, stainless steel, and jacketed reactors will be crucial. Operating and calibrating lab instruments such as rotary evaporators, vacuum pumps, stirrers, pH meters, and ovens will be a part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will be conducting product purification using techniques like distillation, crystallization, extraction, and chromatography. It is essential to maintain accurate documentation of experiments, batch records, and lab observations while following SOPs, safety guidelines, and GLP/GMP norms. You will also play a key role in supporting scale-up processes, pilot plant trials, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Perform multistep organic synthesis and reaction optimization on lab scale - Operate and maintain various lab reactors (glass, stainless steel, jacketed) - Handle and calibrate lab instruments such as rotary evaporators, vacuum pumps, stirrers, pH meters, ovens, etc. - Conduct product purification using distillation, crystallization, extraction, and chromatography - Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, batch records, and lab observations - Follow SOPs, safety guidelines, GLP/GMP norms - Support scale-up processes and pilot plant trials when required - Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as QA/QC, production, and regulatory affairs - Develop and optimize advanced delivery systems including Liposomes, NLCs, micro/nanoencapsulation technologies for active ingredients Your in-depth knowledge of organic reaction mechanisms, synthetic strategies, and experience with hazardous chemicals will be pivotal in this role. Familiarity with analytical techniques like TLC, HPLC, GC, and FTIR is required. Your capability to independently manage multiple R&D projects and possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and scientific documentation skills will be highly valued. Qualification Required: - Master's degree in Organic Chemistry - At least 5 years of hands-on experience in laboratory research and development Preferred Experience: - Prior work in chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or specialty ingredient R&D labs - Exposure to delivery system development for actives (Liposomes, NLCs, etc.) - Experience with pilot plant operations and process scale-up Join us in our innovative R&D initiatives, lab-scale synthesis of active ingredients, and formulation and delivery system enhancement for cosmetic or specialty chemical applications.,
