Job Description

Role Overview: As a Release Engineer for Android Mobile Application, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the release process for Android mobile applications. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate builds, automate deployment processes, ensure release quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performing mobile apps efficiently and reliably. Key Responsibilities: - Release Management: - Own and manage the end-to-end release process for Android applications. - Coordinate with development, QA, product, and operations teams for timely and high-quality releases. - Maintain release calendars and communicate schedules and status updates. - Build & Deployment Automation: - Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or similar. - Automate build, test, and deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors. - Version Control & Branching Strategy: - Manage source code repositories (Git) and enforce branching strategies. - Ensure proper tagging and versioning of releases. - Quality Assurance: - Collaborate with QA teams to integrate automated testing into the release pipeline. - Monitor release metrics and logs for proactive issue identification and resolution. - Store Management: - Handle app submissions, updates, and metadata management on the Google Play Store. - Ensure compliance with store guidelines and manage rollout strategies like staged roll-outs and A/B testing. - Monitoring & Support: - Monitor post-release performance and crash analytics using tools like Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, etc. - Provide support for hot fixes and emergency releases as required. Qualification Required: - 5+ years of experience in release engineering or DevOps for mobile applications. - Strong understanding of Android build systems (Gradle), CI/CD tools, and version control systems. - Experience with Google Play Console and mobile release workflows. - Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks and automation tools. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Experience with Fastlane or similar release automation tools. - Knowledge of Kotlin/Java and Android development life cycle. - Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Experience with monitoring tools and crash reporting platforms.,
