Relay and Protection testing application engineer

Job Description

Role : The Relay and Protection Testing Application Engineer is responsible for pre-sales/Post sales Demos, testing, and maintaining protection and control systems in electrical power systems. The role involves working with protection relays, communication protocols, and power system equipment to ensure system reliability, compliance, and safety. key responsibility : Relay Testing and Commissioning: Perform functional testing of protection relays, including overcurrent, distance, differential, and other schemes. Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests on power system equipment. Fault Analysis and Troubleshooting: Analyze relay event records and oscillography to diagnose system faults. Troubleshoot protection schemes and recommend corrective actions. Technical Support: Provide technical support to south asian countries clients/distributors during presale /post sales testing and commissioning. Train client personnel on relay settings, testing procedures, and system operation.you are willing to travel to south asian countries for support and should have effective communication skills. Communication Protocols: Work with communication protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, and others.
