Regulatory Officer – QC & QA

Department: Quality Control & Quality Assurance

Location: Dhulagarh

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, Legal Metrology, BIS, and other relevant food regulations.
• Prepare and submit documents for product registration, renewals, and licensing.
• Monitor regulatory updates and ensure timely implementation of new requirements.
• Coordinate with external agencies for audits, inspections, and certifications.

Quality Assurance (QA):

• Implement and monitor SOPs for production, packaging, and quality systems.
• Review and approve batch manufacturing records, product labels, and specifications.
• Conduct internal quality audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain documentation for HACCP, ISO, and other quality management systems.

Quality Control (QC):

• Supervise sampling, testing, and analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Ensure laboratory practices comply with standard testing protocols.
• Evaluate and release materials/products based on quality parameters.
• Assist in validation and calibration activities of instruments and processes.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain and update regulatory and quality documentation as per company policy.
• Prepare reports on compliance status, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Ensure all records are audit-ready and traceable.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Sc / M.Sc in Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in QC/QA and regulatory affairs in the FMCG or Food Industry.
• Good understanding of FSSAI guidelines, GMP, and ISO standards.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Work Environment:

• Based at factory/QA office with coordination between production, R&D, and compliance teams.
• May involve travel for audits, inspections, and regulatory meetings.
