Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  1. Establish the sales organization from scratch, including creating structure, defining processes, and setting up systems across the assigned region.
  2. Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Managers, ensuring clarity of roles, accountability, and alignment with business goals.
  3. Explore new markets, identify high-potential territories, and strategically allocate resources to maximize revenue and profitability.
  4. Develop, manage, and strengthen channel partnerships to drive market coverage, enhance reach, and ensure effective product distribution.
  5. Design robust sales funnels to optimize lead generation and conversion; define productivity parameters, monitor performance, and conduct systematic weekly and monthly reviews.
  6. Achieve and exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and profitability metrics while ensuring strong regional market presence.
  7. Build a strong, performance-driven, and compliant sales culture focused on integrity, accountability, and sustainable growth.
  8. Identify training needs, track evolving market trends, analyze competition, and provide insights and strategic feedback to senior management.
  9. Implement promotional campaigns and contests, propose innovative regional marketing plans, retain top talent, manage performance gaps, and drive high levels of motivation and engagement with HR team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in life sciences, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in medical device or healthcare sales, with at least 2 years in a team leadership role.
  • Track record of building and managing sales teams and channel partners, ideally from the ground up.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, negotiation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience developing and executing sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue and growth targets in medical devices.

Preferred candidate requirement:

  • Self-driven and presentable professional with strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to interface and build relationships with high-value customers.
