1. Educational Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. MBA in Sales/Marketing is often preferred. 2. Experience 15 to 18+ years of experience in sales, preferably within the Commercial Vehicle Sector ( trucks, buses, LCVs, HCVs, etc .). Proven track record in fleet sales, institutional sales, or dealership sales management . Experience managing large teams and working with OEMs (e.g., Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra, Force.). 3. Core Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Planning Profit Center Head Develop and implement sales plans to achieve targets (units, revenue, market share). Analyze regional trends and forecast demand. Team Leadership Recruit, train, and lead sales executives and fleet sales personnel. Set individual targets, review performance, and provide coaching. Client Acquisition & Retention Build strong relationships with institutional clients, fleet operators, and government buyers. Negotiate deals and close bulk sales. OEM Coordination Liaise with the manufacturer for inventory, pricing, schemes, and delivery timelines. Ensure alignment with brand guidelines and sales policies. Operational Oversight Supervise pre-delivery inspections, documentation, vehicle registration, and delivery. Ensure CRM systems and customer service protocols are followed. Reporting Provide regular MIS reports on sales performance, leads, conversions, etc. Monitor KPIs like lead-to-sale ratio, inventory turnover, and revenue per sale. 4. Key Skills & Competencies Strong B2B sales and negotiation skills. Deep understanding of commercial vehicles , financing options, and aftersales service. Leadership and team management . Analytical mindset; good with CRM and Excel reporting tools . Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities .
