Job Description

JD Key Responsibilities: Research & Development Leadership: 1. Lead the R&D department in developing processes optimization for the recycling and recovery of critical materials from batteries (lithium-ion, lead-acid, PCB etc.). 2. Develop novel chemical, mechanical, and thermal recovery processes for efficient extraction of lithium, nickel, cobalt, copper, and other valuable materials. 3. Stay updated on emerging technologies, innovations, and industry trends in battery. Process Development & Optimization: 1. Drive continuous improvement in existing recycling processes to increase efficiency, recovery rates, and sustainability. 2. Collaborate with engineering teams to design and pilot scalable solutions that ensure cost-effective, environmentally friendly recycling methods. 3. Develop data-driven approaches and AI-based models for state-of-health analysis and decision-making in battery recycling. Collaboration & Partnership: 1. Collaborate with academic institutions, technology partners, and suppliers to enhance R&D efforts. 2. Engage with industry stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local and international environmental regulations. Project Management & Strategy: 1. Oversee multiple R&D projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with the companys strategic goals. 2.Manage the R&D budget, timelines, and resources to achieve operational milestones. 3. Present findings, prototypes, and advancements to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Specialization in recycling or electrochemical processes is preferred. Experience: 7+ years of experience in battery recycling, materials recovery, or related fields. Deep understanding of lithium-ion, lead-acid, and other battery chemistries, including the challenges of recycling and disposal. Experience with hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, or other recovery techniques.
