Textile Designer India 0 years Not disclosed On-site Full Time

We’re Hiring: Textile Designer (minimum 3–4 yrs experience) Not your average desk job. Not your post-college gap year either. We’re looking for someone who’s in it for the long run — someone who can hold their own, think independently, handle a curveball or two, and still show up the next day excited to create. ✨ If you treat your work like your craft. 🧵 If you have a real passion for weaving stories (and textiles). 🧠 If you can think, learn, and do without being hand-held. Then we’re all ears (and beads). PS: Fresh out of college? This may not be for you. We’re a hands-on space, not a vacation stop. We love mentoring, but only those who are here to build, not escape. Slide into our inbox with intention at careers@ratalove.com. Let’s create magic, not burnout. Spilling facts, not beads. Multitasking in Motion: Confidence in overseeing daily operations and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment seamlessly. Storytelling Through Textiles: A creative thinker with a flair for deep research and narrative-led design, someone who can translate ideas into compelling textile stories for new collections. Commitment to Craftsmanship: A genuine appreciation for slow, detailed work with a strong grasp of weaving techniques. Patience, precision, and a readiness to learn are essential. Bonus Skill set: Hands-on experience with design software and a strong visual aesthetic with styling, photography, videography, or 3D rendering skills. Independent & Curious: You should be self-motivated, solution-oriented, and curious to explore new materials and techniques without constant supervision. Team Spirit: Great interpersonal skills to collaborate meaningfully with our makers and creative team, encouraging a nurturing and innovative environment. Adaptive & Versatile: Open to wearing multiple hats, experimenting with new ideas, and embracing the unpredictable yet exciting nature of building something new. Organised & Detail-Oriented: The discipline to maintain thorough records, track sampling and production data, and bring order to the creative chaos. Show more Show less

Visual communication designer gurugram, haryana, india 4 years None Not disclosed On-site Full Time

Visual Communication Designer Location: Gurugram, India Type: Full-time, In-Studio Experience: 2–4 years (preferred in design, communication, or related creative fields) About RATA RATA is a homegrown luxury lifestyle label where every piece is slow-made, sculptural, and handwoven bead by bead. Founded by designer Pratiksha Tandon, RATA celebrates the art of patience, the beauty of details, and the quiet poetry of craftsmanship. Our work moves between jewellery, object design, and art, all bound by a shared language of emotion and intention. We’re not just building a brand; we’re nurturing a world where storytelling meets craft, where visuals feel as tender as the hands that create. Role Overview We are looking for a Visual Communication Designer who can translate the essence of RATA, its craftsmanship, emotion, and quiet strength, into a cohesive visual language across digital and physical platforms. This role sits at the intersection of design, storytelling, and digital strategy. You’ll be responsible for shaping how the brand is seen, felt, and remembered, from maintaining our website and digital experience to curating our social media and visual identity through photography, film, and thoughtful design. This is not a role for someone who just “executes.” It’s for someone who observes deeply, feels intuitively, and designs with meaning. Key Responsibilities 1. Website & UI/UX Design Maintain and update RATA’s website to ensure it reflects the brand’s evolving narrative and collections. Work on improving user experience and flow, keeping it intuitive, and emotionally resonant. Collaborate with developers and the founder to align aesthetics and functionality. Regularly update visuals, lookbooks, and storytelling content to reflect campaigns and new collections. 2. Visual Storytelling & Content Creation Ideate and execute visually rich campaigns that bring RATA’s world to life, from product stories to brand films. Plan, shoot, and edit photography and videography for social media, website, and PR use. Conceptualize visuals that go beyond documentation, that tell stories, evoke emotion, and reflect RATA’s poetic essence. 3. Social Media Design & Planning Design and plan posts, reels, and stories that align with our brand philosophy: slow, thoughtful, and artistic. Maintain a cohesive feed and ensure every visual feels part of the same visual language. Collaborate with the founder to develop content calendars, campaign narratives, and tone of communication. 4. Brand Communication & Collateral Create brand collaterals such as lookbooks, catalogues, press kits, invites, and exhibition material. Ensure every design, print or digital, carries the same sensitivity, precision, and thought as the pieces we make. Who You Are You think visually but feel emotionally. You have an eye for detail, texture, and tone, you know when something feels “right.” You’re equally comfortable behind a camera, in front of a design screen, or sketching a layout by hand. You understand that design isn’t about noise but nuance. You believe in slow, intentional creation and storytelling through visuals that breathe. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Design, Communication, Visual Arts, or related field. Strong understanding of brand storytelling, layout, typography, and color theory. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Lightroom, Figma and/or Blender (would be a plus). Basic knowledge of photography, videography, and editing techniques. Familiarity with website platforms (Wordpress, Shopify, Squarespace, or similar CMS). A genuine interest in fashion, design, craft, and sustainability is a plus. What We Offer A space to experiment, learn, and create meaningful work that blends craft and contemporary design. The chance to build and grow a visual world from the ground up for a brand that is redefining what handmade and handwoven can mean. Creative collaboration directly with the founder and artisans, where your work doesn’t just sell, it tells. To Apply Send us your portfolio, CV, and a short note on what storytelling means to you at careers@ratalove.com. We’re not looking for perfection, we’re looking for sincerity.
