Radiographer - Cardiac MRI

A cardiac MRI radiographer's main responsibilities include performing cardiac MRI scans to produce high-quality diagnostic images of the heart, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and managing equipment. Key duties involve accurately positioning patients, applying appropriate scanning parameters based on protocols and physician orders, and collaborating with the cardiology and radiology teams. They also document patient history, explain procedures, ensure informed consent, and are responsible for image management and data entry. Patient care and safety

• Assess patients' physical and mental needs and adapt procedures accordingly.
• Explain procedures, answer questions, and reassure patients and their relatives.
• Ensure patients give informed consent and understand any necessary instructions.
• Administer IV contrast injections when required, noting any adverse reactions.

Technical and procedural duties

• Operate and maintain MRI scanners and associated equipment.
• Set up and apply appropriate coils for the specific body part being scanned.
• Follow specific imaging protocols or modify them as needed to meet clinical indications.
• Carefully position patients for accurate image acquisition.

Image and data management

• Analyze patient medical records and conduct interviews to obtain relevant history.
• Enter accurate patient and examination data into systems like RIS, PACS, and EHR.
• Ensure images are sent to the correct physician or system for review.

Team collaboration and administration

• Collaborate with other members of the cardiology and radiology teams.
• Work with physicians to ensure imaging is appropriate for the clinical situation.
• Supervise junior staff or students as part of their training and development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
