JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shall report to the Doctors/SMO directly and on issues of administration shall report to Directors.
• Shall check before starting daily work that the X-ray machines and their components are properly cleaned and X-ray tables and linen etc are changed, neat and clean.
• Shall study the requisition and check carefully, before taking the X-ray.
• Shall ensure that the X-ray is taken of the correct part of the body as indicated in the requisition slip.
• Shall write the name and number on each film after they have dried.
• Shall process the film in the absence of the dark room attendant.
• Shall keep abreast of various rules and regulations regarding charges for different X-ray examinations and make necessary entries in the respective registers.
• Shall take proper care of machines and equipment, instruments, furniture in the department and look after routine maintenance.
• Shall check the main switch of the electric board and switch it off after completion of the day’s work.
• Shall load cassettes with X-ray films.
• Shall store unexposed films properly.
• Shall keep an account of X-ray films and other supplies.
• Shall take precautions to protect him, patients and other workers of the department from the hazards of radiation.
• Shall assist the radiologist in deep X-ray treatments.
• Shall assist the radiologist in the training of X-ray technicians.
• Shall carry the portable X-ray apparatus to the other departments of the hospital and take the radiograph of the patients who are seriously ill.
• Shall keep the dark room neat and clean at all times.
• Shall prepare developer, fixer solution in time when the solutions require replacement.
• Shall ensure that when the hopper containing the X-ray films is open, no light should be switched on in the dark room.
• Shall ensure the processing of films efficiently, after proper washing in the water tank to put them in the dryer.
• Shall be responsible for the safe custody of hangers, cassettes and other items in the dark room. To frequently do a physical check.
• Shall perform duty as per duty roster and also attend to emergency duties when called to do so.
• Any other work given by the In charge/Doctors/SMO.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month
