About The Opportunity

An advanced-technology scale-up in the Quantum Computing and Semiconductor Engineering sector, blending cutting-edge quantum hardware design, cryogenic control systems, and RF instrumentation to deliver enterprise-grade quantum processors. We drive breakthroughs across life sciences, finance, transportation, and space by pushing the boundaries of superconducting qubit technology.Role & Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments to characterize superconducting qubits, measuring coherence times, gate fidelities, and performing quantum state and process tomography.
  • Develop and maintain cryogenic setups, including dilution refrigerators and low-temperature cabling, ensuring stable environments for device testing.
  • Implement and optimize microwave control and readout electronics to achieve high-fidelity qubit control and measurement.
  • Analyze experimental data using Python or MATLAB, applying statistical methods and custom scripts to extract device performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with materials science and fabrication teams to correlate device behavior with fabrication parameters and material properties.
  • Prepare detailed experimental reports and contribute to design-of-experiments (DoE) planning for continuous improvement of characterization workflows.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • MSc or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field with a focus on quantum mechanics or quantum technology.
  • Hands-on experience with quantum device measurements, specifically superconducting qubit characterization.
  • Proficiency in cryogenic systems, microwave electronics, and RF instrumentation.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or MATLAB for data analysis and experiment automation.
  • Solid understanding of circuit quantum electrodynamics (cQED) and quantum error correction fundamentals.

Preferred

  • Experience with alternative qubit modalities such as cold atoms or spin qubits.
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals or conference presentations on quantum device research.
  • Familiarity with design-of-experiments methodologies and statistical analysis tools.
