Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, BOQ preparation, contractor billing, project cost control, and ensuring financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires strong technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and excellent coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation & BOQ Preparation

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and rate analysis for civil works.
• Develop, verify, and update BOQs based on drawings and project specifications.
• Review material requirements and assist in budget forecasting.

Tendering & Contract Management

• Prepare tender documents, evaluate quotations, and support vendor finalization.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing cost-related clauses in contracts.
• Participate in commercial negotiations with contractors and suppliers.

Billing & Measurement

• Perform quantity take-offs and verify site measurements.
• Prepare and certify contractor bills, RA bills, and work progress valuations.
• Validate variation claims and change orders.

Project Cost Control

• Monitor project expenditures and compare with approved budgets.
• Identify cost deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain updated cost trackers, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports.

Coordination & Reporting

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams.
• Conduct regular site visits for quantity verification and progress assessment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare periodic MIS reports.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and site execution processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., Candy, CostX – if applicable).
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and costing.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
