Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Quantity Surveyor and billing Engineer based in Chennai. The Quantity Surveyor and billing Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost planning and control, preparing bills of quantities (BOQ), managing and reporting on costs throughout the project lifecycle, and ensuring financial probity on projects. Additional tasks include carrying out regular evaluations of project costs, and working closely with project teams to provide detailed cost advice and value engineering solutions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Diploma or related fieldExperience in QS & Billing Engineer 3 to 8 yearsExperience in residential projects is mandatory Proficiency in Cost Control, Cost Planning, and Cost ManagementExperience with BOQ preparation and Cost ReportingStrong analytical and numeracy skillsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team. Skill Set: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Proficiency Excel tools.Knowledge of contract law and construction practices.Cost Control, Cost Planning, and Cost Management skillsProficiency in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Cost ReportingStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work effectively in an on-site team environment. Languages - Tamil and English mandatory Responsibilities: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects.Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.Monitor project costs and track variations.Prepare final accounts and cost reports.Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on cost-related matters.
