Role Description

The Quality Incharge will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured gym equipment and raw materials meet the company’s quality standards. The role involves conducting detailed inspections, overseeing quality processes, and coordinating with production teams to maintain consistent product quality and compliance with design specifications.

Skills & Competencies Required:

• Strong understanding of mechanical components and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measurement tools (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges, etc.).
• Eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of welding standards and inspection methods.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Production, Fitter, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection (preferably in manufacturing or fabrication units).
• Freshers with strong technical skills may also be considered.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing unit for gym equipment.
• On-site role with coordination across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Quality Control

• Conduct inspection of machines, fabricated parts, and incoming raw materials.
• Perform detailed part layout inspection to ensure alignment with engineering drawings.
• Assess fitness of parts to verify proper dimensions, strength, and usability.
• Carry out bearing size inspection, ensuring correct fitting and smooth operation.
• Check and verify nut and bolt sizes as per equipment requirements.
• Conduct welding inspections to ensure durability, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.
• Inspect components according to technical drawings and specifications.

Quality Assurance & Reporting

• Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare quality reports.
• Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with the production team.
• Ensure quality standards are followed throughout the production cycle.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance quality and reduce defects.

Coordination & Compliance

• Work closely with Production, Design, and Maintenance teams to ensure quality expectations are met.
• Ensure equipment and processes adhere to safety and industry standards.
• Support internal audits and assist in external quality assessments when required.
