Job Description

Job Title: Final Quality Inspector

Industry: Automotive Manufacturing

Location: Oragadam, Gummidipoondi

Department: Quality Control

Reports To: Quality Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Final Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of automotive engine parts before final shipment. The role ensures products meet company standards, customer specifications, and industry regulations

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct final visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of engine components.
Use gauges, micrometres, callipers, and other measuring tools to verify part quality.
Check parts for defects such as cracks, wear, incorrect dimensions, or poor finishes.
Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation.
Follow quality standards, work instructions, and inspection checklists.
Identify non-conforming parts and coordinate with production for corrective actions.
Ensure proper tagging, labelling, and segregation of rejected and approved parts.
Support root-cause analysis for recurring quality issues.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Comply with all safety and quality management system requirements (ISO/TS/IATF).

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or BE (mechanical or automotive preferred).
Minimum 1-year Experience in automotive manufacturing or quality inspection.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of basic measurement tools and quality inspection techniques.
Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
